Addison Primary School is Independent State Primary school kids aged 3 to 11 (Gender - Co Educational )
The core set of values, generated by pupils, parents and staff, are Respect, Responsibility, Perseverance, Honesty and Friendship. Values are principles that guide behaviour and choices. At Addison, adults model values and give time for reflective practices. They believe that this empowers individuals to be effective learners and good citizens. The Values that we teach are relatable to our pupils through the ‘values characters’. These help the pupils to understand how to develop their character, to know that individual differences should be valued, to be resilient, reflective, to have empathy and respect for one another.

EYFS, KS1 and KS2 Curriculum Overview
The curriculum at Addison is designed to develop pupils’ academic abilities as well their mental well-being and self-worth. They strive to give pupils opportunities and experiences that are beyond the curriculum. The three core themes, ‘Confidence & Courage, Healthy Me and Creativity’ are carefully planned throughout the year. One of the ways we build confident and expressive pupils is through ensuring pupils acquire rich language.
Nursery
Both the indoor and outdoor areas are considered of equal importance in providing the children with a range of opportunities that are relevant and engage them in learning. Children are encouraged to be independent and become confident, sharing their ideas and experiences with others. The approach to teaching is child-centred where every child is an individual, with their own special skills and talents to be valued. It is important that every child has a happy and positive first experience of school and one where they feel safe and confident to express themselves and take the next steps in their learning and development.
