Features

  • York Minster: As you enter the Minster… heading ever deeper into the Dungeon itself… meet Father/Sister Abostus and hear the Saxon chronicles of our land Eoforwic. Be careful as the Vikings approach by the second, heed all words & warnings and above all else watch out for those named EADWIG!
  • York Plague House: Oh, Dear! It looks like you've been wandering through the plague-infested streets of York, in the year of our Lord 1551! (Un)Luckily for you, the plague doctor's surgery is nearby. Step inside and meet his assistant, who will happily check your sweaty bits for any signs of infection. A word of advice: be careful where you sit.
  • The Torture Chamber: This one will have you screaming! Meet the Torturer of York Castle. They are passionate about their job, good with their hands and know how to work their way around your body. It's just a shame that their objective is to tear you limb from limb and inflict unimaginable pain. Enjoy!
  • Dick Turpin: Step inside the darkened carriage. And hold on to your valuables! There are rumours of highwaymen prowling the area, and the most vicious one of all is said to have returned.
  • Eboracum - Beyond the Veil: Step into Eboracum, The York Dungeon’s thrilling visual experience, where the shadows of ancient Rome come alive!
  • Vengeance of the Vikings: THE VIKINGS ARE HERE- and not to make friends! Vengeance of the Vikings is where you’ll meet a loyal (if slightly clueless) Saxon peasant who’s found themselves stuck in the middle of a Viking encampment!
  • Curse of the Witch: The Curse of The Witch is based on the story of the infamous Isabella Billington, from Pocklington. Join her in her prison cell on her last night before her execution.
