Whitby Whale Watching Centre whitby has a long history of seafaring. From the historic voyages of Captain James Cook, to being one of the busiest whaling ports and home to one of the largest fishing fleets in the UK, Whitby's seafaring heritage is hard to beat!

Today Whitby is still home to fishing vessels of all shapes and sizes. It's also home to some of the best fish restaurants and fish & chip takeaways in the country. The Yellow Boats sail on short trips out to sea around the bay with the biggest and best boats in the harbour.

Sea Trips: Our sea trips on Summer Queen and Esk Belle III are our most popular trip. Sailing from the harbour every 20 minutes throughout the day. We operate two boats at the same time, so there's plenty of capacity and never long to wait before the next trip NO BOOKING NEEDED
Harbour Tour: Sail through the heart of Whitby on Dash II. This is a smaller boat, able to navigate the River Esk inland, through the harbour and marina and onward under the impressive viaduct towards the village of Ruswarp. This trip boards from opposite The Angel Hotel.
Coastal Cruises: This 2 half hour trip runs in September and provides a chance to see some of the amazing wildlife and scenery of the Yorkshire coast. Refreshments are available, so sit back, relax and enjoy an unforgettable experience!
Sunset Cruises: Our 45 minute Sunset Cruises operate throughout the summer. Sailing from Brewery Steps on the harbourside, Enjoy the dramatic North Sea sunset from a unique perspective. Please check the sign at Brewery Steps for sailing times, or visit out Facebook page.
Twilight Cruises: Leaving the Harbour at dusk we sail out to sea as the remaining daylight fades away. Returning after dark we give our passengers a unique opportunity to view Whitby from the sea at night, to view the town in another 'light'!
