Pick Your Own Farm access is at the Stamford Bridge end of the car park, following signs for PYO & the Berry Barn. Situated on 28 acres of thriving farmland, The Balloon Tree combines Pick Your Own fruit seasons with supplying the Farm Shop with top-quality produce.

  • By car: The venue is situated five miles East of York on the A166. Via Grimston Bar, it can be easily found by either travelling out of York via the A1079 or exiting from the A64 in either direction and following signage for Bridlington. They have plenty of parking and measures in place for busier days when they expect a high volume of visitors. Get Directions
  • By bus: The Number 10 First Bus route goes straight past their gates. Depending on the driver they may even drop you right outside.   • By bike: From Stamford Bridge it is a short ride following the cycle path down the side of the A166. From Dunnington, many use a route which comes out at Scoreby Lane, just opposite The Balloon Tree. Travelling from York there are routes which could lead you down the cycle paths alongside the A1079 to Grimston Bar and through Dunnington to the route by Scoreby Lane. Or for a more scenic route you can travel through Osbaldwick, to Murton, to Warthill which can bring you out adjacent to The Balloon Tree at the edge of the A166. On arrival they have bike racks outside the farm shop and in the café garden itself. Get Directions
