Features

  • Bottle Feeding Baby Lambs: Bottle feeding baby lambs in the Spring is always a favourite. Hawk and owl demonstrations take place every day, with the audience encouraged to be as involved as the falconer. Pony rides are available, along with ponies and goats to feed, and as many rabbits as visitors wish to hold. All of the day's activities are listed on the "What's On" board located in the tea room.
  • Micro Pigs: Heading into full-time retirement are Marigold and Matilda, both coming up for 11 and having provided several litters of piglets. They enjoy polo sweets. Meet RED, the daddy to the Gloucester Old Spot piglets expected later in the year.
  • Owl Corner: The Owl Corner is new this year and houses different breeds of owls, including Barn and European Eagle owls. Visitors can hoot at Harry, and he will respond, enjoying interaction.
  • Hawks and Owls: At the entrance to the animals is Scot, a 3-year-old Snowy owl. Scot is seeking a companion to join him when visitors come. Hawks and owls are hatched and reared on site. Baby owls have a particular charm, and when a hatch occurs during a visit, part of the experience may include hand feeding them. Details are displayed on the "What's On" board.
  • Groups: Special occasions and group visits are welcomed, including nursery groups, care home residents, local WI groups, or families and friends. The experience is designed to appeal to everyone. Groups of all sizes are welcome, with those of 10 or more eligible for preferential rates. Contact the venue directly for details.
