Welcome to Only Foals and Horses Sanctuary, where every horse is given a chance to thrive in a caring and supportive environment. Visitors can meet a variety of residents including Betty, Blue, Bryony, Bullyboy, Charlie, and Curly, along with many more horses and other animals. The sanctuary provides personalized care, and guests can enjoy observing the animals’ personalities, interactions, and the peaceful surroundings, making it a rewarding experience for all ages.

There is no charge to see the animals, though donations are always welcome, and a “Groom a Pony” experience is available for a small fee of just £3.

Meet the Animals: Visitors can meet these wonderful animals, observe their personalities, and learn about their care and history.
- Betty – Grey Arab Mare, 15.2hh, 25+ years old. Betty is a beautiful mare with an affectionate and gentle nature. She can be a little nervous but thrives on attention and is a favourite with the staff. Once a ridden horse, she is now retired and tends to join in only when others are active.
- Billy – White Goat, Male, 15+ years old. Billy is a cheeky goat full of energy and mischief. He loves being groomed and enjoys spending time with people, making him one of the best-behaved goats during farrier visits.
- Blue – Black Shetland Gelding, 8.2hh, 25+ years old. Blue can be nervous and requires one-to-one care to build trust. He is close friends with Curly, and they enjoy playing together in the field.
- Bryony – Skewbald Cob Mare, 14.2hh, 20+ years old. Bryony is clever and confident with a gentle nature. She loves grooming and enjoys food.
- Bullyboy – Black Shetland Gelding, 20+ years old. Bullyboy has a shiny jet-black coat and a calm, friendly nature. Despite his name, he always participates in activities with enthusiasm.
- Charlie – Grey Welsh Gelding, 25+ years old. Charlie is nervous with new people but becomes very affectionate once trust is gained. He has a Grade 1-2 heart murmur that requires regular monitoring and can only be turned out with other geldings.
- Curly – Grey Welsh Gelding, 20+ years old. Curly is happily retired at the sanctuary, sweet-natured and nervous, requiring one-to-one attention. He is best friends with Blue, enjoying their time together in the field.
