Herstmonceux Castle is rich in history dating back to the 15th Century, commissioned by Sir Roger Fiennes, Treasurer to the Household of Henry VI. The moated castle was purchased and then gifted to Queen’s University, Canada by industrialist and philanthropist Alfred Bader and his wife Isabel. And Garden Delights With eight curated and themed gardens, including there is an abundance of life to delight the senses.

Family Fun: A fun and relaxing day out, young imaginations will love the woodland. Can you find the big chestnut tree struck by lightening. Play area- Little ones can enjoy our play area located just behind the Castle Cafe and Terrace, an ideal location to have a picnic. Rope maze- On the opposite side to the play area is the Marlow Rope Maze. Don't be fooled by the simple rope format, being able to see through to the other side makes things very tricky! wildflower meadows and grounds are a haven for wildlife.
