Helmsley Open Air Swimming Pool is Yorkshire’s only 25-metre heated open-air pool, located in the beautiful North York Moors National Park. The pool offers 75-minute swimming sessions with limited capacity, ensuring plenty of space and a calm environment. Over the season, the water temperature gradually drops from 25°C to 13°C, making it ideal for both leisure and cold-water swimmers. It’s lifeguarded, treated with chlorine and UV for clear water, and surrounded by scenic autumn colours, creating a relaxing and refreshing outdoor experience.
Pricing is very reasonable — Adults £6.25, Children (4–16) £3.95, Concessions £5.25, Spectators £2.50, and Under 4s swim free. Private hire is also available at £80 per hour, perfect for groups or birthday celebrations.
