Our full size railway is operating on selected days throughout the 2026 season - and there's no better way to see Nottinghamshire than from a heritage train. Our depot at Ruddington Fields is home to numerous heritage vehicles, some ready for action, some ready for restoration.
Once part of the Great Central Main Line from Sheffield to London, our route runs from Ruddington (just south of Nottingham) to the northern edge of Loughborough.

You're invited to visit Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre, our base. The Heritage Centre is also home to a collection of heritage buses, a large miniature railway, a model railway display, cafe, shop, and more.
Our base at Ruddington Fields is easy to access: Catch the NCT 10X or 10C from the city centre, or try the Kinchbus 9 and get off at the Scout Hut. For drivers, on-site parking is available for most events; we're just off the A60 on Mere Way.
