Dragon Archery is a unique outdoor attraction set in the beautiful Devon countryside at Brandis Corner, Holsworthy. Opened in 2007, it offers visitors the chance to learn the ancient skill of archery under expert tuition. This family-run venue prides itself on creating memorable and fun experiences for all ages.

The centre features themed shooting ranges such as the Jurassic range where you face roaring dinosaurs, the Fantasy area with orcs and wolves, and the Agincourt battlefield recreating historic longbow battles. You’ll also train on a dedicated range before facing the ultimate challenge – the Dragonslayer, where glory awaits those who defeat the great red dragon. Dragon Archery also provides a perfect setting for special occasions, corporate events, or team-building activities.

Pricing is £39.00 for adults (17+ years) and £29.00 for children (10–16 years). Sessions run Monday to Saturday, and parking is available on-site.

Features

Training: This is where the whole shooting activity begins. The training range is where we begin the process of teaching you how to shoot a bow in a traditional way.
Jurassic: Venture back to the dawn of time and defeat a pack of hungry velociraptors and other themed targets. You will need to keep a steady aim amongst the roars of other dinosaurs.
Fantasy: You are the archer reinforcements in a skirmish already underway. Fully armoured orcs and rabid wolves are going in for the kill. Will you be able to turn the tide of the fight with your bow and arrows?
Agincourt: You are taken back to the year 1415 to the heyday of the longbow at the battle of Agincourt. The French knights are advancing and your shooting will decide which side is victorious. Only well aimed arrows will be able to defeat these soldiers.
Dragonslayer: This is the focal point of the whole activity and what we have been preparing for with all the other shooting. Can you hold your nerve to be able so slay the great red dragon and take your place in the pantheon of Dragonslayers? Glory and honour await those who take their place on the shields of valour.
