Calshot Activities Centre, located on the Solent near Southampton, is one of the UK’s most unique adventure destinations. With historic hangars, beautiful beaches, and access to sheltered and open waters, it offers an incredible mix of land and water-based activities for all ages. The centre features the tallest climbing wall in the South, the only indoor banked velodrome in the region, an indoor ski slope, and exciting aerial challenges like Aero Trek and Take Off. Families can also enjoy activities such as kayaking, paddleboarding, sailing, powerboating, and windsurfing, all run by expert instructors. Climbing: Our 14m high large indoor climbing walls are the perfect place to get your climbing fix. With our large range of walls and friendly instructors on hand, we have recreational sessions, climbing clubs, experience sessions and courses available – truly something for everyone!
Track cycling: Calshot Activities Centre houses the only indoor banked velodrome in the south of England - 142m around with banking of 45 degrees! This track was where it all began for some of Great Britain's Olympic heroes and is used by a wide range of cyclists.
Aero Trek: Experience the thrill of an obstacle course more than six metres in the air. Navigate these adrenaline-pumping challenges up in the roof of our WW1 aircraft hangar: zipline, barrels and star steps.
Take Off: Make your way to the top of our Tetris, speed climbing and icicle themed routes, and be gently lowered by our auto belay systems. This is an excellent introduction to climbing and will test your head for heights. It's as simple as harness on, clip in, TAKE OFF!
Ringos: Ramp up the fun as you zoom down the slopes in an inflatable ring! This laugh-out-loud activity is great fun for everyone, whatever your age or ability, as there’s no skill needed whatsoever.
Skiing and snowboarding: Our indoor slope is perfect for those looking to learn the fantastic sports of skiing or snowboarding, or refresh their skills ready for a trip to the slopes. With three slopes, all specialist equipment, and experienced instructors – we have everything you need!
Sailing: With such an inviting stretch of water, it is no surprise that the horizon over the Solent is dotted with sailing boats. With such easy access to these great waters, Calshot is in a prime location to offer sailing experiences and courses.
Kayaking and paddleboarding: Nothing beats getting out on the water in these accessible crafts. With options to hire, experience and learn with us – there is something for everyone to enjoy. We’re blessed to be able to launch straight onto sheltered water of the Solent, perfect for your first venture into these great activities.
Powerboating: Powerboating offers both the gentle pace of a leisurely cruise and the thrill of flying across the open water. Whatever your pace, our RYA courses will give you the confidence and skills to handle the boat safely and make the most of your time out on the water.
Windsurfing: Thanks to our unique location on the shores of the Solent with access to both sheltered and more challenging water, Calshot is the ideal venue for both novice and experienced windsurfers.
The Hangar: The Hangar is a one-of-a-kind indoor activities centre based on the edge of the New Forest, only 30 minutes from Southampton. Nowhere else in this region will you find climbing, skiing, snowboarding, track cycling, bouldering and obstacle courses all in one activity centre.

Our action adventure parties are a fantastic way to celebrate and have fun with friends. Whether you choose archery, climbing up our auto belay wall, sliding down the slope, or exploring aero trek - your birthday adventure awaits! All parties include room hire, where you can play party games, cut the cake and keep the fun going.

Add a picnic box to your party for £6pp. We’ll provide a fun party box including; a sandwich, crisps, yoghurt, a piece of fruit and a small sweet treat. Jugs of squash are also provided. You can add this to your party at the time of booking.

By Car: from the M27, follow the A326 towards Fawley. Keep an eye out for the brown tourist signs for Calshot Activities Centre. Simply drive in, park up and pay at one of the pay machines before leaving. Our pay machines accept notes, coins or card payments.
By Bus: the Bluestar No. 8 takes passengers from Southampton to Calshot village. Please note that the bus stop in Calshot village is 1 mile away from Calshot Activity Centre.
By Train: the nearest station is Beaulieu Road Station, approximately 10.9 miles away.
