Braehead Ice Centre in Glasgow is the home of the Glasgow Clan, the city’s professional ice hockey team. It offers thrilling hockey matches, fun skating activities, and exciting themed events all year round. Conveniently located within Braehead Shopping Centre, it’s an accessible and lively destination for all ages.

Families and friends can enjoy regular skating sessions, Ice Discos with music and lights, and special themed events like Throwback Thursdays. There are also Learn to Skate courses accredited by British Ice Skating and dedicated Wee Ones Wednesday sessions for parents and under-5s. Seniors can join in with relaxing social skates on Fridays too.

Public skating costs £12 for adults, £8 for children aged 6–16, £5 for under 5s, and £2 for spectators, with skate hire included. Group bookings for 20 or more are available at £8 per person.

Throwback Thursday: Skate to the best hits from the 90s, 00’s and 10’s at our Throwback Thursday Ice Disco! A nostalgic night of fun for all ages.
Wee Ones Wednesday: Enjoy a fun-filled parent and child skating experience for just £10! Includes a variety of skating aids to help little ones get moving on the ice.
Ice Skating: We have skating sessions on Thursday evenings, Friday after school and an Ice Disco in the evening, Saturdays from 12:30pm to 5:30pm then an Ice Disco from 7pm and Sundays sessions from 12:30pm to 4pm. So whether you want to take your kids in for some chilled family friendly ice skating or want something a bit livelier, Braehead Ice Centre has you covered.
Learn To Skate: Have you always wanted to be able to skate like a pro? Then our ‘learn to skate’ courses are perfect for you. Accredited by British Ice Skating, our learn-to-skate courses will help you learn how to spin and glide around the ice like a pro! Skating lessons include thirty-minute group tuition, skate hire and coach support.

Ice skating is the perfect activity to get your body moving and the laughter flowing!

To be eligible for a Group Booking, there must be a minimum of 20 skaters at a cost of £8.00 per person. Visit the website for more information.
