The gardens feature streams, waterfalls, a 1/12th scale railway, and more than 13,000 miniature residents, with plenty to discover the slower you look. Extra attractions include the Mythical Kingdom indoor attraction, European Tiny Towns, fire-breathing dragon, Creepy Manor Hotel, Viagra Falls water feature, Puzzling Perch optical illusion, and a 9-hole crazy golf course included with entry. Seasonal highlights include Illuminations evenings, when thousands of tiny lights and special effects bring the village to life after dark.

Features

  • Miniature World: Babbacombe Model Village is Torquay's top attraction, set in 4 acres of gardens. Each of the model scenes, uniquely crafted by our team, cost thousands of pounds to make. Some of the models, such as Bath Crescent, cost around £30,000 to create, ensuring the high standards our customers expect. We are certain you will appreciate the detail and quality of the displays at Babbacombe Model Village.
  • Torquay's Popular Garden: Babbacombe Model Village on the English Riviera is famous for its miniature landscaped gardens, leading it to be branded as one of Europe’s Premier Model Villages and one of Torquay’s most beautiful gardens. This enchanting setting invites visitors to explore a beautifully landscaped environment, creating a serene escape for all who wander through its paths. Throughout the year, the gardens transform with the changing seasons, offering visitors a dynamic experience.
  • Illuminations: Thousands of miniature lights, along with special fire and lighting effects, create an enchanting atmosphere for an evening out! Every friday evening april to october, plus additional dates at easter, peak summer, halloween & christmas. As everything is miniature, some of the details in our models & scenes, the beautiful gardens and the ‘cute bug’ spotter sheet characters are not so visible after dark. We cannot floodlight the gardens too much as it will ruin the magical effect of all the tiny lights!
  • The Mythical Kingdom: Babbacombe Model Village has created an indoor land of miniature mythical characters all magically animated to bring them to life. A masterpiece of hand-crafted modelling. Over 30 miniature animatronic characters come to life, along with amazing theming, sounds and magical lighting, to immerse you into this mythical land. All of the scenes are bespoke and crafted by hand, ensuring amazing attention to detail along with lots of hidden humour. Fairies, goblins, dragons, trolls, owls, pixies, leprechauns, the magic spell book and more, all come to life in their miniature worlds.
  • Puzzling Perch: Ever wondered what it would be like to be seen in miniature? Get ready to experience a mind-boggling optical illusion. This is the perfect photo-shot that will leave you, your friends and family totally puzzled and amazed!
  • European Tiny Towns: This new indoor attraction showcases tiny villages and towns set in beautiful landscapes, along with moving trains. It is a mix of UK and Continental styles with lots of humorous details and some ‘hidden’ surprises (if you look closely).
  • Miniature Bug Trail: THE BUG TRAIL CHALLENGE- Available every day, all year! Just for fun. Grab a spotter sheet and see if you can spot all 12 cute creepy crawlies as you explore the gardens!
  • Viagra Falls: Enjoy the sights and sounds of our water feature erected in 2025, using the finest craftsman’s tools. The water falls from about 30ft, that’s the equivalent to 360ft for our miniature residents!
  • Creepy Manor Hotel: Prepare to be spooked by our in-house creation: the Creepy Manor Hotel! This eerie, intricately detailed model features a spooky, haunted mansion complete with atmospheric lighting, mysterious shadows, and a touch of the supernatural.
  • Crazy Golf: Included FREE with admission tickets. Our 9-hole crazy golf course will add an exciting extra dimension of fun for the whole family. The course is great fun for adults & children.
  • Fire Breathing Dragon: Wind the handle and wait for the giant dragon to breath fire!
