  • Wedding Open Day: 28th September, Sunday 19th October, Sunday 16th November, 11am -2pm. Step through the gates of our 900-year-old castle and begin imagining your perfect day.
  • History Tour & Afternoon Tea: Wednesday 15th October & 19th November. Step back in time with our exclusive monthly Amberley Castle Heritage Tour, a charming and intimate experience within the castle walls. Led by local historians, this guided tour unveils the rich tapestry of Amberley Castle’s past. From its mention in the Domesday Book to the many original features still hidden behind the medieval portcullis.
  • Nyetimber Experience & Overnight Stay: Thursday 16th October. Nyetimber, the world-renowned English sparkling wine producer, opens its estate to the public just a handful of times a year and Amberley Castle has teamed up with our friends down the road to create an exclusive experience and overnight stay.

  • By Car: From Arundel, Follow the signs to London, after four miles, you will come to a roundabout. Take the third exit signposted to Amberley B2139. In Amberley, pass the station on the right side and look for the white Relais & Châteaux flag on the left, which clearly marks the entrance of the driveway to Amberley Castle. Continue up the drive onto the Castle's turning circle and make your way to reception.
  • By Trains: A direct train runs from London Victoria hourly to Amberley Station (Journey time 1 hour 20 minutes). Please note, there is no taxi rank at the station, and although it is a relatively short walk to the castle, we would not recommend walking with luggage. 
  • By Air: Guests from London can reach the castle within 25 minutes following the scenic route with a view along the Thames to the Houses of Parliament, the city and the O2 Arena before heading south across the beautiful Surrey and Sussex countryside. Amberley Castle is located in the heart of the West Sussex countryside, just 35 miles from London Gatwick Airport—making it an ideal first stop on your journey through the UK. Whether you’re arriving by car, train, or chauffeur, the castle is easily accessible while still offering the peaceful charm of a secluded escape.
