Air is a unique, bespoke indoor ramp experience which has been pro-designed for seamless transitions and maximum flow.

The venue has 17 interconnecting ramps, pipes, banks, ledges and rails for boards, BMX, blades and scooters provide the tools for some serious action.

There are open sessions for all wheels, dedicated times (e.g. Boards only, BMX only), coaching sessions for beginners and improvers and more.

Open Sessions, All Wheels age 8+:

Boards, BMX, scooters and blades all welcome.

Individual Sessions for age 8+:

Board only, BMX only and Scooter only sessions available across the week.

Coaching Programme for age 6+:

Skate coaching programme now available for under 8’s and 8+ every Saturday morning. Each programme runs for 6 weeks with Air coordinator and qualified skateboard coaches.Through this programme young riders progress through levels 1 to 6 (beginners to intermediates) learning at their pace.The venue also provide participants with an introduction to skate park do’s and don’ts and the importance of safety first.

Level 1 beginners moves and techniques include:

Standing on a Board
Standing off a Board
1 Push on a Board

then right through to Level 6 which includes:

Dropping in
Ollie 180 – rotating upper body, pop tale whilst unwinding upper body, scrape front foot up and land with bent legs

Birthday Party Details

Air Skate Park Parties:

For just £9.50 per child YMCA Air Skate Party package include 1 hour of supervised extreme sports.

Full set of equipment (Board or Scooter, Helmet and Pads) is available to hire for an additional £1 per person.

You’ll then have 30 minutes for the party food and you can choose between one our of great menus (minimum of 10 children).

Option 1 : Choice of Toasted Sandwich: Ham, Cheese or Tuna. Served with fries or crisps and a cookie.

Option 2: Choice of Hot Food: hot dog, pizza or chicken goujons. Served with fries and a cookie.

Booking your party:

To check the availability of party slots and to book your Air Skate Party, please call 01253 824108. A member of staff will be able to assist you in completing our booking form.

A non-refundable deposit of £50 is required to secure all party bookings.

Final payment, confirmation of numbers and food choices required 5 days before the party date.

YMCA Air Skate is currently temporarily closed for the time being and will not be reopening for the short term, largely due to the effects of the recent covid pandemic. There are no plans to permanently close the park and hope it will open again soon.
