Keep your body and mind in sync as you explore engaging topics from space to nature and everything in between.
  • Energy: Energy is all around us, it encompasses our everyday lives. We use different forms of energy throughout our day; we heat our homes; we use it to power our cars and public transport; we charge our mobile phones. But where does it come from? What forms of energy do we use today?
  • Space: ‘That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind’ – do you know who famously said that when Apollo 11 touched down on the moon in 1969? Explore the outer reaches of space, beyond the moon, at Aberdeen Science Centre.
  • Life Science: Life Science, the scientific study of life. Plants, animals, mircoorganisms and humans are all living inhabitants of our planet, but how do they work? Explore our Life Sciences zone and discover the world of living things, and a little bit more about your insides!
  • Make It: Make it, build it, design it, create it! Aberdeen Science Centre’s interactive ‘Make it’ zone encourages creativity with a range of hands-on exhibits. As part of our new mezzanine level exhibition floor, visitors can build computers, circuits and giant archways as well as create sound loops using a range of different instruments.
  • Test It: Experiment, problem solve and develop confidence in all things science at Aberdeen Science Centre’s ‘Test it’ zone. Apprentices of all ages will love this hands-on, interactive area where their latest imaginative masterpieces can come to life.
  • Under 6 Zone: Created especially for our younger scientists, Aberdeen Science Centre’s under-6 zone provides opportunities to build, play and discover the world of science – and its free entry for explorers under 3. Filled with puzzles, mirrors and sounds our zone for under 6’s is the perfect introduction to science, allowing our younger visitors to engage and interact with science in new and engaging ways.
